071 CH draws on Chloe's landmark rose-peony signature: a peony-litchi-freesia opening leading into a rose and lily-of-the-valley heart, with a cedar-amber finish. The real Chloe became a modern classic for its natural, almost powdery rose that reads chic and romantic without feeling old-fashioned, and this dupe distils that into a simpler and very wearable rose-floral. It leans lighter and more one-dimensional than the original's more textured, slightly powdery rose accord, and it doesn't carry the same natural, dewy quality that made the real fragrance so beloved. As an affordable stand-in for the rose most people recognise Chloe by, though, it lands the reference cleanly.
