Samad Fragrances Oud Spirit is a perfume oil launched in 2024. Oud Spirit opens with Sandalwood and Frankincense, settles into a heart of Musk and Saffron, and dries down to a base of Oud. Samad Fragrances's Oud Spirit carries an Acquired verdict, a woody-led wear.

Frankincense and sandalwood open like incense smoke, saffron and musk come through at the heart, then dark resinous oud takes over. A smoky, spicy oud oil sold for him.

Top, heart and base are the brand's own listing, not a timing claim - the industry classifies a note by its character as much as by how fast it fades. Each curve here is modelled from that material's own volatility, so groups can overlap when a house lists long-lasting materials in its heart.

When To Wear

Best Seasons

Best For:
Fall Winter

Frankincense, saffron and resinous oud are heavy and smoky, so autumn and winter are the fit. In warm weather it would be overpowering.

Best Occasions

Best For:
Formal

Date

An incense-and-oud profile suits evenings, formal events and cultural occasions. It is too dense for most offices and for sport.

About

Oud Spirit is an alcohol-free perfume oil from Samad Fragrances, sold for him. The brand describes frankincense and sandalwood opening like incense smoke, saffron and musk coming through at the heart, then dark, resinous oud taking over and staying. The opening is the unusual part: most oud scents put oud forward at the start, while here the smoke comes from frankincense and the oud is saved for the base. Saffron adds a bitter, leathery spice, and musk softens the heart. The result is a smoky, spicy and resinous oil that sits in the traditional Arabian incense style, and the shop tags it as spicy, woody and oud. It is one of the most masculine-leaning scents in the range. Samad says the oil is alcohol-free, lasts 10 to 12 hours on skin and needs only one dab on each wrist, so it should sit closer to the skin than a spray. It comes in 10ml and 15ml bottles. No independent wearer reviews were found at the time of writing, so the performance scores are taken from the brand's own claims and the oil format, not from reported wear. The shop lists it as sold out at the time of writing, and its 10ml price is 21.99 pounds, slightly above the house's other 10ml oils. It suits autumn and winter, evenings and occasions, and it will be a strong choice for anyone who already likes incense and oud.
