Alcohol-free perfume oils from a small Birmingham house

About Samad Fragrances

Samad Fragrances is a small independent perfume house in Birmingham, founded in 2024. The house makes alcohol-free perfume oils and one eau de parfum, and says every formula is its own rather than a copy of a designer scent. Its founding question, in its own words, was why a good fragrance has to cost so much or fade by lunchtime. Its answer is oil: with no alcohol to evaporate, an oil sits close to the skin, and the house says one dab on each wrist lasts 10 to 12 hours. Samad means everlasting in Arabic, and the house says that is the standard it holds each scent to.

The range is eight perfumes. Seven are alcohol-free oils sold in 10ml and 15ml bottles: Silk Vanilla, Queens Night, Sunset Harmony, Damask Musk, Golden Rose, Oud Spirit and Blue Mystral. The eighth, Exotic Oud, is the first eau de parfum, sold in 50ml with a 5ml size to try it first. The scents run from fresh and aquatic to warm rose, vanilla and oud, and the house describes its oils as produced in small batches and finished in the UK using internationally sourced ingredients. A discovery set of 1ml samples lets you try the oils before buying a full bottle.

Samad sells direct through its own website and sits at the accessible end of independent British perfume, with oils from about 20 pounds and the eau de parfum at 30 pounds. It suits wearers who like oil-based, close-to-skin fragrance and Arabian-influenced notes such as rose, oud, saffron and musk, and who want a small British house with a low entry price. No independent reviews of the range were found at the time of writing, so the scent descriptions here follow the house's own notes and claims.

Who It's For

Best For

  • close-to-skin, long-lasting wear
  • affordable oud and rose scents
  • trying a small British house at a low price

Strengths & Weaknesses

Strengths

  • Low entry price, with oils from about 20 pounds
  • Alcohol-free oils that the house says last 10 to 12 hours
  • A clear spread from fresh aquatic to rose-oud and vanilla
  • A 1ml discovery set for trying the range first

Weaknesses

  • Founded in 2024 with no independent reviews found yet
  • Sold only through its own website, and several oils are often sold out
  • Oils project softly, so they are not a fit for people who want a scent that fills a room

Brand Evolution

Samad was founded in 2024 and listed its first oils in September 2024. The house added its first eau de parfum, Exotic Oud, in December 2025 and its newest oil, Silk Vanilla, in August 2026.

Quick Verdict

A young, low-priced British house built around alcohol-free oils, with a wide enough range to find a fit. It is too new to have a review record, so start with the discovery set.
