Scentleys Aliens is an Extrait de Parfum. Aliens opens with Amber, settles into a heart of Jasmine and Cashmeran, and dries down to a base of Woody and Amber. Scentleys's Aliens carries an Acquired verdict, a white floral-led wear.

Aliens keeps Scentleys' extrait firmly on the jasmine sambac and cashmeran accord that defines Mugler Alien, arriving as a warm amber-floral skin scent that shares the shape of the original but with a rounder, less mineral cashmeran facet.

About

Aliens is Scentleys' extrait interpretation of Mugler's Alien, the 2005 Dominique Ropion fragrance built around an unusually narrow pyramid of just jasmine sambac, cashmeran and white amber rather than a conventional top-heart-base spread. The dupe follows that same minimalist structure: a soft white amber warmth opens the wear almost immediately, with barely any true top note, before a dense jasmine sambac takes centre stage alongside cashmeran. A woody-amber base rounds things out. Because Alien's whole identity rests on how that jasmine-cashmeran accord is executed, Aliens lives or dies on getting that combination right, and Scentleys gets the broad shape - creamy white floral over a warm mineral-amber base - recognisably close. The main difference is texture: the real Alien's cashmeran has an almost metallic, futuristic coolness running under the jasmine's warmth, and Scentleys' version smooths that into a rounder, more straightforwardly sweet amber-floral. As a UK-poured extrait it performs well, six to eight hours with the jasmine-amber holding close to skin after the first hour or two. A strong choice for fans of the Alien signature who want a cheaper daily-wear version, with a gentler, less avant-garde edge than the original.
