Aphorismes by Dominique Ropion
A French perfume line written by the perfumer Dominique Ropion
Aphorismes by Dominique Ropion is a French perfume house built around the perfumer Dominique Ropion. Its first collection launched in 2024 with six perfumes for women and men: A Rose is a Rose, My Clémentine, Innocent Tuberose, Oud à l'Amour, Encens Insensé and Crazy Garden. Ropion says he wanted to approach perfume differently, building each one like an aphorism, a truth in a few words, and to take a fresh look at the great olfactory families.
Fragrantica lists eight perfumes for the house, the newest two, Cashmere Clash and On The Rose Again, dated 2026. The retailer H Parfums says the perfumes use raw materials from Laboratoire Monique Rémy (LMR) and describes the bottle as inspired by the sculptor Serge Mansau, with a gold-coated zinc cap. Parfumo lists Royaume du Parfum International as the company marketing the line.
The house sells through its own website and a small number of niche retailers. Innocent Tuberose, the one perfume of the line in our catalogue so far, is sold as a 50 ml Parfum Intense.
A niche, luxury house known for floral compositions.
The house began in 2024 with six perfumes and, according to Fragrantica, added Cashmere Clash and On The Rose Again in 2026.
A perfumer-led niche line with a clear named author and a range that spans florals, oud and incense. The price and the narrow distribution make it a considered purchase.
