Aphorismes by Dominique Ropion Innocent Tuberose is a Parfum launched in 2024, created by Dominique Ropion. Innocent Tuberose opens with Currant Blossom, Bergamot, Grapefruit, and Mandarin, settles into a heart of Green Notes, Jasmin Sambac, Tuberose, and Ylang-Ylang, and dries down to a base of Cypriol Oil or Nagarmotha, Musk, Vetiver, and Ambergris. Aphorismes by Dominique Ropion's Innocent Tuberose carries a Favourite verdict, a floral-led wear.

A bright, green and spicy tuberose with orange blossom, jasmine and lily of the valley, lighter and smoother than Carnal Flower. Best in spring and summer; some find it polished but too close to that benchmark.

Top, heart and base are the brand's own listing, not a timing claim - the industry classifies a note by its character as much as by how fast it fades. Each curve here is modelled from that material's own volatility, so groups can overlap when a house lists long-lasting materials in its heart.

When To Wear

Best Seasons

Best For:
Spring Summer
Also Works:
Autumn

A green, citrus-lit tuberose with sheer musks is a spring flower first and a summer one second. It lacks the warm resins and sweetness that would carry it through autumn and winter.

Best Occasions

Best For:
Date Casual
Also Works:
Office

Moderate projection and a fresh, clean feel make it easy for daytime, work and casual wear, with enough floral presence for a date. It is a little too light and youthful for black-tie formality, and too much flower for sport.

About

Innocent Tuberose is one of six perfumes in the first personal collection by Dominique Ropion, launched in 2024 under his own name. He set out to give tuberose a lively, spicy and radiant character, and the house sells it as a 50 ml Parfum Intense for women and men. The opening is crisp and sunny: mandarin, grapefruit and bergamot, sharpened by ginger, cardamom and pink pepper, with orange blossom and a blackcurrant-bud greenness. The heart is the main event. Tuberose is the centre, but it is kept young and sheer, wrapped in jasmine, ylang-ylang and lily of the valley, with a distinct green thread that stops it turning heavy or narcotic. Some wearers say the jasmine leads as much as the tuberose. The base of musk, vetiver, cypriol and ambergris stays soft and clean, with a little cashmeran for warmth. The obvious comparison is Carnal Flower, and most reviewers make it. The consensus is that this is the lighter, greener and more polished cousin: smoother and easier to wear day to day. For some that is the appeal. For others it is the problem, either because it feels redundant if they already own the benchmark, or because the lily of the valley and clean musks give an old-fashioned, slightly synthetic edge. Performance is moderate. Expect around five to seven hours with a generous but gentle scent bubble, so spray with care. It is at its best in spring and summer, in the daytime, and suits the office as easily as a date. The price is steep, and most wearers suggest trying a sample first.
