Rook Perfumes

Rook Perfumes is a London based independent perfume house founded by emergency medicine doctor and West End actor Dr Nadeem Crowe in 2018. The brand is built around Crowe's unusual dual background in science and performance, an influence he has described in interviews as shaping both the technical construction and theatrical character of his scents. Rook operates as a small, founder led house, with fragrances developed and produced in London.

The line is positioned firmly in the niche segment, offering unisex eau de parfums that aim for specific, often vivid scent ideas rather than broad mass appeal. Early creations such as Rook, Forest, Undergrowth, Suede and Amber established the brand's style, and the collection has since expanded through limited projects like Flaming Dandelion, created in collaboration with the online fragrance community, and The Scent of the Metaverse, launched in partnership with NFT production agency Lily & Piper as a limited run of 100 bottles tied to a digital ticket.

Rook Perfumes is also known for its participatory Rook Scent Experiments, where new compositions are released without note lists and wearers are invited to propose their own stories or, in some cases, suggest notes from visual prompts which Crowe then interprets in formula. This community driven approach, combined with Middle Eastern influences drawn from the founder's British Jordanian and Palestinian roots, gives the brand a clear identity among contemporary indie houses.
