Divain's dupe follows YSL's L'Homme almost note-for-note - ginger, bergamot and lemon over a violet leaf and tonka bean skeleton - but renders it flatter and less creamy, losing the original's velvety cocoa-tinged smoothness in favour of a sharper, more linear woody-spicy finish.
