This much-hyped Guerlain masterpiece, now infamously discontinued and reformulated, evokes extreme devotion and frustration in equal measure. A rich, sweet tonka-almond dream to some; an overpriced, underperforming disappointment to others.

233 ID follows Guerlain L'Homme Ideal's almond-tonka-leather signature closely enough, but the dupe's base fades sooner and lacks the original's smooth, gourmand richness.
