ELIX Fragrance blending accords: what is in the kit

12 materials, matched to 44 notes. Made by ELIX Fragrance

Kits: You blend these materials yourself.

ELIX Fragrance sells perfume blending kits. A kit is a set of scented materials that you blend yourself at home. ELIX calls its materials blending accords: twelve ready-made scents, each with its own character, which you try in different combinations on your skin. The Create Your Own set comes with a glass beaker, a stirring rod, a funnel, scent strips, refillable atomisers and a blending booklet.

On this page we list all 12 accords and match each one to the notes we hold. Our matching leans towards synthetic, aquatic and citrus notes.

ELIX sells direct at elixfragrance.com, in pounds. At the last check, the Perfume Mixology Discovery Set was £45, with five 4ml minis, and the Create Your Own Perfume Blending Set was £155, with four 30ml accords of your choice. ELIX also runs guided workshops, in person and live online, and sells a Virtual Workshop Blending Set at £70. Checked 28 Oct 2026.

What you can make with it

You choose which accords to combine, so the finished scent is your own. ELIX says any personalised perfume made in its workshops can be re-created as a 30ml bespoke order. Add what you make to your collection as a custom perfume and tick the accords you used.

The materials

What each material maps to in our vocabulary. The mapping is ours: a material may be a single ingredient or an accord built from many, and a note stands for how it smells, not for what is in it. Percentages are relative weights inside our scent model, not ingredient percentages.
