Cherry Tobacco
Note Profile
About
Cherry tobacco is pipe tobacco leaf cased with cherry flavouring, a cherry-scented Cavendish.
Scent Profile
Cherry tobacco smells of sweet, cured pipe tobacco leaf with a tart, deep cherry laid over it. Underneath sits a soft vanilla sweetness from the casing and a warm, woody, slightly earthy leaf. A faint hay-like dryness and a hint of whisky show in some versions. It is fruitier and brighter than plain pipe tobacco.

ScentArt
Origin
A prepared pipe tobacco. Virginia or Burley leaf is steamed and pressed into Cavendish, then cased or topped with a cherry flavouring and often a vanilla casing. In perfumery it is an accord built to evoke that tobacco, not an extract of it.
Usage in Perfumery
Used as a sweet tobacco accord, where the cherry gives the cured leaf a fruity, sweet lead. Candle and fragrance-oil makers sell it as one ready accord.
