Vanilla Latte
Note Profile
About
Vanilla latte is a gourmand accord named after the coffeehouse drink. It joins sweet vanilla, warm creamy milk and a soft roasted coffee. Vanilla usually leads, and the coffee sits behind it.
Scent Profile
Vanilla latte smells of sweet vanilla and warm, creamy milk, with a soft roasted coffee note underneath. The coffee is toasty rather than bitter. Caramel and sugar often round it out. The drydown is vanilla, milk and a soft, clean musk. It carries a faint nutty note, like toasted almond or praline, in the coffee and milk.

Materials That Can Make This Note
Vanilla Latte is usually built as an accord, a blend of several materials, rather than made from one.
Origin
Vanilla latte is a built accord, not a natural extract. No supplier sells a material under this name. Perfumers build it from vanillin or ethyl vanillin, lactonic materials for milk and cream, caramel materials such as ethyl maltol, and a coffee note. The coffee share varies a lot. Some products sold as vanilla latte list no coffee note at all.
Usage in Perfumery
Perfumers use vanilla latte in the heart and base of gourmand fragrances, body mists and candles. It pairs with caramel, tonka bean, cocoa and musk. Cardamom or cinnamon can turn it towards a spiced drink. In fine fragrance it supports a broader vanilla or amber structure. In candles and body products it is often the whole theme.
