About

Forbidden Plum opens with a dark, juicy plum drenched in hot cinnamon and threaded with saffron, a genuinely close match to the original's sweet-spiced entrance. The heart brings plum blossom, camellia and immortelle for a soft floral lift, echoing the original's delicate mid-stage before the base takes over. Where the original builds a resinous, lacquer-like oud accord, this dupe's oud, amber, vanilla and balsam fir base is simpler and sweeter, reading more straightforwardly gourmand than smoky-mysterious. It's a fair, cozy cool-weather scent that captures the plum-spice signature well, but loses some of the original's satin-dark complexity and doesn't project or last quite as long. A solid budget option for the plum-and-spice craving without the full niche depth.
