Inkredible is Alexandria UK's tribute to Ink Mark, Louis Vuitton's dark, restrained fragrance from the Journey to China collection inspired by Chinese calligraphy. The opening leans into a clean, resinous white incense, chasing the original's smoky, mysterious first impression rather than the safer floral-fresh territory of most Louis Vuitton releases. The heart rests almost entirely on sandalwood, echoing the original's reliance on sandalwood as the composition's backbone. The base settles into amber and a soft, understated woody accord, aiming for the same bold-yet-controlled restraint the reference is known for. What is missing at this price is Ink Mark's more gradual, textured journey - the real thing moves from an almost coconut-rice opening into a mature, smoky woody character over several hours, while this version reaches a simpler, more static wood-amber-incense balance more quickly. Even so, it captures the disciplined, incense-led mood well enough for anyone curious about the style without the Louis Vuitton price tag.
