Alexandria UK Royal Equestrian Layton By Parfums De Marly is an Eau de Parfum. Royal Equestrian Layton By Parfums De Marly opens with Bergamot, Lavender, and Apple, settles into a heart of Jasmine, Violet, Geranium, and Cardamom, and dries down to a base of Sandalwood, Patchouli, Pepper, and Vanilla. Alexandria UK's Royal Equestrian Layton By Parfums De Marly carries an Acquired verdict, a fruity-led wear.

One of the closer budget matches to Parfums de Marly Layton, keeping the addictive apple-and-vanilla signature intact even if it can't fully replicate the original's exceptional blending and 10-plus-hour longevity.

About

Royal Equestrian is widely regarded as one of the more accurate Layton alternatives, and the structure explains why: the same bright apple-and-lavender opening, the same sweet-but-aromatic floral heart with violet and cardamom, and the same rich vanilla-sandalwood base that made the original a community favourite. Side by side, the top notes come across as slightly sweeter and smoother rather than the original's marginally sharper apple, but after the first fifteen minutes the two are difficult to tell apart. Where it falls short is longevity and refinement in the base - Layton's woods and patchouli blend with a seamlessness this budget version doesn't quite match, and the vanilla can tip toward cloying in warm weather more readily than the original. Even so, projection is strong for the first several hours and it holds up well on clothing. For anyone who loves the Layton concept but balks at the price, this is a genuinely close, high-value alternative.
