Aromara Myrrh & Amber is an Extrait de Parfum. Myrrh & Amber opens with Myrrh, settles into a heart of Tonka Bean and Benzoin, and dries down to a base of Musk and Amber. Aromara's Myrrh & Amber carries an Acquired verdict, a warm spicy-led wear.

Myrrh & Amber is Aromara's take on Jo Malone London's Myrrh & Tonka Cologne Intense, a warm resinous-vanilla cosy classic. The myrrh-tonka-amber structure is close, though at 35% Extrait it renders sweeter and simpler than Jo Malone's more restrained, resinous original.

About

Myrrh & Amber opens with a straightforward myrrh accord, resinous and slightly smoky, before tonka bean and benzoin bring in a warm, sweet vanilla-adjacent heart. Amber and soft musk settle the base, giving it the cosy, blanket-like quality the original is known for. Jo Malone's Myrrh & Tonka Cologne Intense keeps its myrrh a little drier and more restrained against the tonka sweetness, while this version pushes the sweetness forward earlier and more consistently, flattening some of that resinous complexity into an easier, more universally cosy scent. The core warm-resinous-vanilla character is still unmistakably there. It suits cooler months and low-key settings - casual wear or a relaxed office day - with good persistence and moderate, close-wearing projection.
