Aromara Oud Noir is an Extrait de Parfum. Oud Noir opens with Rose and Saffron, settles into a heart of Oud, and dries down to a base of Musk and Amber. Aromara's Oud Noir carries an Acquired verdict, a oud-led wear.

Oud Noir is Aromara's take on Maison Francis Kurkdjian Oud, a pure refined oud. Built at 35% Extrait, the saffron-rose-oud signature is close, though the dupe is bolder and more linear than MFK's minimal, purist original.

About

Oud Noir opens with saffron and rose, warm and spiced, before settling into a deep, singular oud heart. Amber and dark musk build a rich, smooth base. MFK's original is built around restraint - a small, deliberately edited palette that lets the oud itself carry almost the entire composition with remarkable purity; this version keeps that same saffron-rose-oud-amber skeleton but adds a touch more sweetness and musk depth than the minimalist original, which fills out the scent for mass appeal at the cost of some of that purist simplicity. The saffron-rose-oud arc still reads as a clear, convincing homage. It performs strongly, with excellent persistence and moderate-to-strong projection, best suited to cold-weather evenings and formal or date-night occasions.
