Blossom Perfumery 085 Plat. Egoist. is an Eau de Parfum. 085 Plat. Egoist. opens with Petitgrain, Neroli, Lavender, and Rosemary, settles into a heart of Jasmine, Geranium, Galbanum, and Sage, and dries down to a base of Amber, Cedar, Sandalwood, and Vetiver. Blossom Perfumery's 085 Plat. Egoist. carries an Acquired verdict, a aromatic-led wear.

085 rebuilds Chanel Platinum Égoïste's aromatic-woody frame - lavender-rosemary-neroli top, sage and jasmine heart, cedar-vetiver-oakmoss base - but flattens the original's cool, mineral edge into a warmer, more generic woody-aromatic scent.

About

085 draws on Chanel Platinum Égoïste's note list - lavender, rosemary, neroli and petitgrain up top, followed by galbanum, sage, jasmine and geranium in the heart, then oakmoss, vetiver, sandalwood and cedar for the base. The opening captures a reasonable amount of the crisp, herbal freshness that made the original stand out from typical woody colognes, though it lacks some of the sharper, almost metallic clarity Chanel achieved. The heart is softer and less angular than Platinum Égoïste's distinctive galbanum-driven bitterness, reading as a more conventional aromatic-floral blend rather than the original's slightly aloof, polished character. The base lands the cedar-vetiver-oakmoss combination fairly well for a general woody-amber finish, but it doesn't have the same cool, mineral quality that gives the designer version its understated confidence - this version feels warmer and closer to an everyday woody fragrance than a genuine echo of Platinum Égoïste's more particular signature. A workable casual alternative rather than a close match.
