Blossom Perfumery 534 Stella is an Eau de Parfum. 534 Stella opens with Mandarin, Rose, and Peony, settles into a heart of Rose, and dries down to a base of Woody and Amber. Blossom Perfumery's 534 Stella carries an Acquired verdict, a rose-led wear.

534 leans on the same rose-peony-amber-wood shape as Stella McCartney's Stella but with a rougher, less dewy rose and a shorter drydown, trading the original's soft sillage for a louder but more fleeting take.

About

534 opens with the same mandarin, peony and rose combination that defines Stella McCartney's Stella, and the rose does most of the talking here too - though it reads slightly sharper and less naturalistic than the original's famously dewy rose accord. The peony softens the opening for the first thirty minutes before fading fast, leaving rose to carry the fragrance largely alone through the heart. The amber and woody base arrives earlier than in the original and sits closer to the skin, giving the dupe a shorter overall lifespan and less of the graceful sillage Stella is known for. It captures the rose-forward, understated femininity of the original well enough for casual wear, but loses the polish and longevity that make the real thing a modern classic.
