568 | Inspired by Bal D'Afrique opens with a zesty rush of Amalfi lemon, marigold, bergamot and black currant lifted by orange flower, echoing the vibrant citrus burst of Byredo's Bal D'Afrique but with a more straightforward, less nuanced sparkle. The heart brings violet, cyclamen and jasmine, aiming for the same soft, powdery floral elegance, though the transition feels quicker and less layered than the real thing's slow floral unfolding. Vetiver, musk, amber and Virginia cedar settle into the base, giving a clean, woody warmth that is pleasant in the first couple of hours but fades before the original's grounded, earthy vetiver-cedar signature has fully developed.
