About

Maracuja Oud opens with a vivid burst of passion fruit against bright bergamot and a flick of pink pepper, immediately recognisable as a nod to Maison Crivelli's fruity-oud signature. The heart brings in oud alongside rose, jasmine and violet, giving a floral-woody complexity that echoes the original's structure, though the oud itself reads simpler and less smoky than Crivelli's more textured composition. The base settles into amber, musk, sandalwood and patchouli, a warm and pleasant woody-amber finish that holds up reasonably well but doesn't come close to the extrait-strength original's 10-plus hour performance. Still, for a fraction of the price it delivers a genuinely interesting fruity-oud experience that most wearers will find distinctive and easy to enjoy.
