Jacques Fath Rosso Epicureo is a Parfum launched in 2017, created by Luca Maffei. Rosso Epicureo opens with Bergamot, Bitter Orange, Sichuan Pepper, and Plum, settles into a heart of Orange Blossom, Rose, Jasmine, and Tuberose, and dries down to a base of Musk, Amber, Patchouli, and Vanilla. Jacques Fath's Rosso Epicureo carries an Acquired verdict, a floral-led wear.

This one's a wild ride and definitely not for the faint-hearted. It’s an extreme love-or-hate fragrance; many find it lush and mouth-watering, others find it nauseating or simply 'too much'. Sample it first, because opinions are all over the shop.

Top, heart and base are the brand's own listing, not a timing claim - the industry classifies a note by its character as much as by how fast it fades. Each curve here is modelled from that material's own volatility, so groups can overlap when a house lists long-lasting materials in its heart.

Built for the cooler edges of the year - autumn and spring pair best.

Best Occasions

Best For:
Date
Also Works:
Casual Formal

Its long-lasting nature and strong sillage, coupled with its bold, heady character, make it unsuitable for office wear. It shines on dates or nights out where its unique, over-the-top personality can be appreciated, though some might find it too much even then.

About

Rosso Epicureo blasts off with a vibrant, boozy plum and blackcurrant jam, spiced with a sharp kick of Sichuan pepper and bitter orange. This fruity overture swiftly gives way to a heady bouquet of opulent white florals-tuberose and ylang-ylang leading the charge, rich and creamy, almost narcotic. As it dries, it softens into a warm, sensual base of vanilla, amber, and a earthy patchouli, still retaining a hint of that initial fruitiness.
