SYL73 - Black Opium Women

SYL73 goes after Black Opium's signature coffee-and-vanilla gourmand, opening with pear and pink pepper over orange blossom, moving into coffee, jasmine and bitter almond, then settling on vanilla, patchouli and cedar. The coffee-vanilla pairing - the single most recognisable part of the original - comes through clearly here, which is the biggest win for this dupe. What's lost is scale: Black Opium is famous for filling a room for hours, and this version stays much closer to the skin and fades sooner. A good way to sample the coffee-gourmand trend cheaply, but reach for the original if projection and longevity matter to you.
