Kerosene Wood Haven is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2012, created by John Pegg. Wood Haven opens with Bergamot, Lemon, Grapefruit, and Pepper, settles into a heart of Pink Pepper, Ginger, and Juniper, and dries down to a base of Cedar, Vetiver, and Guaiac Wood. Kerosene's Wood Haven carries a Favourite verdict, a woody-led wear.

Divisive. Some praise its unique smoky citrus and pepper punch, while others find it a generic, short-lived ginger bomb. For wood fanatics only, and even then, some say it’s not woody enough.

Top, heart and base are the brand's own listing, not a timing claim - the industry classifies a note by its character as much as by how fast it fades. Each curve here is modelled from that material's own volatility, so groups can overlap when a house lists long-lasting materials in its heart.

When To Wear

Best Seasons

Best For:
Spring Summer Fall

Versatile across every season - no clear seasonal preference from wearers.

Best Occasions

Best For:
Casual Sport
Also Works:
Office Date

Its moderate sillage and fresh, woody profile make it suitable for casual day wear and even the office, though some might find the initial pepper too sharp. It's too rugged for formal events, but its energetic character works well for active or outdoorsy casual settings.

About

Wood Haven opens with a sharp, zesty burst of lemon, grapefruit, and bergamot, quickly sharpened by a pronounced crack of black pepper. This initial bright, almost effervescent zing soon gives way to a spicy heart of ginger and pink pepper, underpinned by the aromatic bite of juniper. The dry down is a dry, almost cold woody accord, where cedar and guaiac wood mingle with earthy vetiver, leaving a lingering, rugged, forest-like trail.
