About

Dior's Miss Dior Eau de Parfum opens with iris, peony and lily-of-the-valley before an apricot-tinged centifolia rose takes over the heart, finishing in a warm base of vanilla, musk, tonka bean, sandalwood and benzoin - a fruity-floral bouquet with genuine powdery elegance. Douro, inspired by it, builds around the same rose-apricot pairing, and that heart accord is the strongest part of the dupe: recognisably close to Miss Dior's signature. The top notes swap Dior's soft iris-peony opening for a brighter mandarin-blackcurrant citrus burst, and the base drops the vanilla-tonka warmth in favour of a simpler musk-peach-raspberry fruitiness. The net effect is a fragrance that is fruitier and more youthful throughout, missing the original's grown-up, powdery sophistication, and one that settles into a light skin scent well before Miss Dior's six-plus hour presence winds down.
