Oakcha Gossamer Petal is an Extrait de Parfum. Gossamer Petal opens with Red Currant, Mandarin, and Pear, settles into a heart of Magnolia, Lily of the Valley, and Egyptian Jasmine Absolute, and dries down to a base of Musk, Sandalwood, and Vetiver. Oakcha's Gossamer Petal carries a Favourite verdict, a fruity-led wear.

A light, dewy white floral with pear and red currant on top and a soft musky base. Oakcha's take on Loewe Aire Sutileza, lovely for spring mornings and anyone who likes a gentle, clean bouquet.

Top, heart and base are the brand's own listing, not a timing claim - the industry classifies a note by its character as much as by how fast it fades. Each curve here is modelled from that material's own volatility, so groups can overlap when a house lists long-lasting materials in its heart.

About

Gossamer Petal feels like walking through a garden just after rain. The opening is cool and juicy. Pear gives a crisp, watery sweetness, mandarin adds a little sparkle and red currant brings a tart, rosy edge. Within minutes the white florals take over. Lily-of-the-valley is the star, clear and slightly green, with creamy magnolia and a thread of Egyptian jasmine to give the bouquet some depth. The base is soft and understated. Musk makes the skin feel clean, vetiver adds a faint rooty freshness and sandalwood gives a smooth, creamy finish. As an extrait it holds on longer than most airy florals, while the projection stays light and polite. Two or three sprays are enough. It works best in spring and summer, for the office, weddings, brunch and daytime dates. It is also a good choice if you want a fresh floral that does not shout. Bottom line: a weightless pear and lily-of-the-valley bouquet that feels clean, bright and quietly romantic.
