Impression Cedarwood Heart

Cedarwood Heart is the green one of the Ostens Impression range, composed by Alexis Dadier around Virginia cedarwood. It trades the cosy side of woods for something drier and more upright: pencil shavings, bitter greens and a faint powder. It opens bright and leafy, with bergamot, cardamom and violet leaf. The heart is galbanum, dry and bitter, with iris adding a nostalgic powdery edge and a touch of ylang-ylang. The base is cedarwood, patchouli, ambergris and oakmoss. The cedarwood stays significant to the end, wearers say, softened by a creamy warmth. Performance is moderate. Votes lean to moderate or long wear, though one wearer reports it fading to intimate within three or four hours. Spring and autumn lead the season votes, summer is close behind, and winter trails.
