Ostens Impression Rose Oil Isparta is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2018, created by Dominique Ropion. Impression Rose Oil Isparta opens with Coriander Seed, Pink Pepper, Cardamom, and Rosemary, settles into a heart of Orange Blossom, Rose, and Blackcurrant, and dries down to a base of Patchouli, Labdanum, and Cashmeran. Ostens's Impression Rose Oil Isparta carries a Statement verdict, a woody-led wear.

A dense, jammy rose lifted by pink pepper and cardamom, with blackcurrant, patchouli and labdanum below. Bold, spicy and unisex, it is loved by rose fans and found too intense or medicinal by some.

Top, heart and base are the brand's own listing, not a timing claim - the industry classifies a note by its character as much as by how fast it fades. Each curve here is modelled from that material's own volatility, so groups can overlap when a house lists long-lasting materials in its heart.

When To Wear

Best Seasons

Best For:
Spring Autumn
Also Works:
Summer Winter

Autumn and spring lead the votes, with summer and winter both about half as strong. A rich, jammy rose with warm spice and labdanum suits cooler months, while its freshness keeps it wearable in spring.

Best Occasions

Best For:
Date Casual Formal
Also Works:
Office

Evening, night out and leisure all score well, and day and night votes are close. It is dense and dressy enough for dates and formal evenings; for an office it is a bolder choice than the other Impressions.

About

Rose Oil Isparta is the dark-red rose of the Ostens Impression range, composed by Dominique Ropion around rose oil from Isparta. It is not a pretty petal rose. It is dense, jammy and spiced, a bold take that is described as neither feminine nor masculine. The opening is spice: pink pepper, cardamom and coriander seed with a little rosemary. The heart is the rose itself, joined by ripe blackcurrant that gives it a jammy, almost fruity depth and by orange blossom for sweetness. The base is warm and resinous, with labdanum, patchouli and cashmeran, and it keeps the rose from reading as a simple floral. Performance is moderate. Votes sit at moderate to long wear and moderate sillage, though one wearer found it weak and another says it is not a scent for people who want a loud trail. Autumn and spring lead the season votes, with summer and winter about half as popular. Evening, night-out and leisure wear all score, and it is a more dressed-up scent than most in the range. Opinion is strongly positive but not unanimous. Many call it one of the best roses they have smelled, elegant and modern, while others find the spice overbearing or the whole thing medicinal. It suits rose lovers who like their rose rich and spicy rather than powdery, and it sits on the shelf with other dark, resinous roses.
