As an oil, it holds that freshness reasonably well for a couple of hours before things soften into a simple sandalwood-musk finish, missing the original's much-praised silky, almost velvety iris-ambergris drydown that keeps Green Irish Tweed interesting for hours after application. Sillage is modest and stays close to the skin rather than the original's confident, room-filling trail.
