About

Green Irish Tweed Attar copies Creed's 1985 classic, a fragrance still held up as the template for the fresh, clean masculine aromatic - green, verdant, and understated rather than loud. The dupe leads with the same lemon-verbena brightness, and a soft violet-leaf note in the heart gives it that slightly powdery, grassy quality reviewers associate with the original. As an oil, it holds that freshness reasonably well for a couple of hours before things soften into a simple sandalwood-musk finish, missing the original's much-praised silky, almost velvety iris-ambergris drydown that keeps Green Irish Tweed interesting for hours after application. Sillage is modest and stays close to the skin rather than the original's confident, room-filling trail. It's an easy, inoffensive fresh-clean scent that captures the top notes well, even if the sophisticated finish that built Creed's reputation doesn't fully translate to this format.
