Pearl Fragrances One Million Attar is a perfume oil. One Million Attar opens with Orange, Grapefruit, and Mint, settles into a heart of Rose and Cinnamon, and dries down to a base of Leather, Amber, and Patchouli. Pearl Fragrances's One Million Attar carries an Acquired verdict, a amber-led wear.

Paco Rabanne's One Million is already one of the loudest fragrances on the market, and Pearl Fragrances' oil pushes the grapefruit-cinnamon-leather formula even further, sacrificing subtlety it never really had for a still-recognisable, sweeter version.

About

One Million Attar goes after Paco Rabanne's massively popular 1 Million, a fragrance whose whole identity is built on being loud, sweet and unmistakable. This oil captures that brashness well: the grapefruit and mint open with real punch, and the leather-amber base arrives fast, giving an immediate sense of the original's flashy character. Cinnamon adds warmth in the middle, though the rose that gives the designer version a touch of unexpected floral complexity is barely detectable here, leaving the composition a little more straightforwardly spicy-sweet. The patchouli in the base rounds things out without adding much depth. Performance drops off faster than the original's famously long-lasting sillage, settling into a warm, leathery-amber skin scent after a couple of hours rather than lingering all evening. Given how deliberately over-the-top One Million already is, the simplification here does less damage than it would to a more nuanced fragrance - this is still recognisably in the same lane, just with the edges rounded and the projection turned down.
