Aroma of Timber For Men

Perfume Parlour Aroma of Timber For Men is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2010. Aroma of Timber For Men opens with Bergamot, Lemon, and Red Apple, settles into a heart of Clove, Rose, Patchouli, and Birch, and dries down to a base of Cedar, Oakmoss, Iris, and Musk. Perfume Parlour's Aroma of Timber For Men carries a Favourite verdict, a woody-led wear.

A budget take on Creed's Spice and Wood - the same crystal-clear apple-and-lemon opening over clove, peppery birch and dry cedar. Aroma of Timber captures that elegant fruity-spicy woody character but reads flatter than the niche original, the famous realistic apple thinner and the woods less rich.

About

Aroma of Timber opens juicy and bright: Italian bergamot and astringent Amalfi lemon underpinned by a clear, sheer red apple - the celebrated, crystalline opening of Creed's Spice and Wood (2010). The heart turns spicy and woody with clove, a soft rose, earthy patchouli and a striking birch, peppery and dry. The base settles into dry Virginia cedar, mossy oakmoss, powdery iris and clean musk, the woods and spices dominant. Perfume Parlour's interpretation captures Spice and Wood's elegant, comfortable apple-spice-woody character convincingly, but it reads a fraction flatter, that famous lucid apple note thinner and less realistic and the cedar-oakmoss base less rich than the niche original. Spice and Wood itself is only moderate on performance at 6 hours, and here longevity is similarly modest. The effect stays classy and grown-up - a fruity-spicy woody scent for autumn, cool spring and mild winter, worn casually, at the office, on dates or dressier occasions.
