Charmer

Perfume Parlour Charmer is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2019. Charmer opens with Mint, Lemon, Grapefruit, and Mandarin, settles into a heart of Frankincense, Lavender, Geranium, and Rosemary, and dries down to a base of Patchouli, Sandalwood, Ambroxan, and Cashmeran. Perfume Parlour's Charmer carries a Favourite verdict, a aromatic-led wear.

Charmer follows Parfums de Marly Sedley's crisp spearmint-citrus aromatic. The cooling mint-and-lemon opening over lavender, geranium and a clean woody base reads true to the brief, but as a budget dupe it lands flatter and lighter than the niche original.

About

Charmer opens on a bright, cooling sweep of spearmint, lemon, grapefruit and bergamot, the invigorating mint-citrus signature that made Parfums de Marly Sedley a fresh-fragrance favourite (and earned it those clean-soda comparisons). An aromatic heart of lavender, geranium and rosemary gives it a slightly retro herbal feel, before a base of ambroxan, cashmeran, vetiver, cedar and sandalwood settles into a clean, soft, woody-musky finish. The overall character is fresh, soapy-clean and easy to wear. As a Perfume Parlour budget interpretation it renders the composition flatter and more 2D than the niche original: the well-done spearmint is simpler, the woody-musky drydown thinner, and longevity sits skin-close at a few hours rather than the 6-8 Sedley can manage. Still, the mint-citrus-and-clean-woods signature and the fresh, confident mood come through, making it an affordable everyday fresh.
