Citrus Dream opens sharp and zesty: lemon and bergamot brightened by spicy ginger and cardamom, with a watery freshness and a tickle of pink pepper. It is Perfume Parlour's take on Nishane's Ani (2019), Cecile Zarokian's celebrated spicy-woody vanilla that shifts from a citrus burst into a comforting lemon-cake gourmand. As the dupe settles, a green apple and blackcurrant heart with a herbal whisper of sage and lavender gives way to the signature drydown: creamy vanilla wrapped in sandalwood, cashmere wood, cedar and a clean musk. The structure tracks the original's bright-to-cosy journey faithfully, but the vanilla reads a touch sweeter and flatter, and the woods less rich, so it misses Ani's plush depth and its famous 10-12 hour performance. Here, longevity is solid but moderate. The result is a versatile, uplifting scent that works across spring, summer and autumn - easy for daytime, the office, and relaxed dates alike.
