Perfume Parlour Despicable For Men is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2006. Despicable For Men opens with Bergamot, Lemon, Grapefruit, and Mandarin, settles into a heart of Iris, Lavender, and Clary Sage, and dries down to a base of Cashmere Wood, Amber, Sandalwood, and Tonka Bean. Perfume Parlour's Despicable For Men carries a Favourite verdict, a citrus-led wear.

Despicable copies Sean John's Unforgivable - that sparkling citrus opening melting into lavender, iris and a smooth cashmere-wood base. The dupe captures the fresh-fougere-to-creamy-wood arc but reads flatter, with shorter longevity than the FiFi-winning original.

About

Despicable is Perfume Parlour's take on Sean John's Unforgivable, the FiFi-winning men's fougere. It opens with a vibrant citrus burst - green mandarin, tangerine, Sicilian lemon, bergamot and grapefruit - sharpened by birch leaf, basil and juniper for a fresh, invigorating lift. The heart mellows into a subtle floral-aromatic of lavender, clary sage and powdery iris, before a smooth, slightly creamy base of tonka, amber, Australian sandalwood and cashmere woods. As a budget interpretation it tracks the original's clean-citrus-to-soft-wood character faithfully, but renders it flatter and less polished, and the projection and longevity sit below the designer - which itself drew complaints on staying power. A fresh, easy, versatile masculine for the office, daytime and casual wear.
