The heart is where the two diverge: the original's powdery orris and suede-soft osmanthus over dry cedar read clearly in the niche extrait, but here they sit further back, letting the sweet fruit carry the middle. The drydown brings leather, a touch of oud, vanilla and patchouli into a smooth, slightly animalic base, though it lands softer and more linear than the original's deep velvety glow.
