Intense Retribution For Women

Perfume Parlour Intense Retribution For Women is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2011. Intense Retribution For Women opens with Bergamot and Lavender, settles into a heart of Rose and Patchouli, and dries down to a base of Ambroxan, Vanilla, Musk, and Tonka Bean. Perfume Parlour's Intense Retribution For Women carries a Statement verdict, a floral-led wear.

A budget echo of Juliette Has A Gun's Vengeance Extreme, Intense Retribution turns up the patchouli-and-rose volume over a sweet amber base. It nails the dark, sexy boss-woman mood but the raw, dirty patchouli edge is cleaned up and the projection sits softer than the original.

About

Intense Retribution opens with a quick aromatic flash of bergamot and lavender before the composition gets down to business: a bold Bulgarian rose and a thick, dominant patchouli that take centre stage, just as they do in Juliette Has A Gun's Vengeance Extreme. As the rose recedes the patchouli carries the heart, here rounded and sweetened rather than left raw. The base is warm and enveloping - ambroxan, vanilla, soft white musk, tonka bean and labdanum lending an ambered, lightly powdery finish. The original is famous for its loud, dirty-raw patchouli and a dark, sexy presence with above-average longevity; this Perfume Parlour version follows the same shape but smooths the patchouli's gritty edge and pushes the vanilla sweetness slightly higher, giving a cleaner, more wearable result. Projection is moderate and settles closer to the skin after the opening hours. It remains a confident, sensual rose-patchouli for cool-weather evenings and dates, delivering the original's mood for a small fraction of the price.
