Island Bloom opens with a lush, creamy tuberose at its centre, given a spicy lift by saffron and a bright thread of bergamot - the unmistakable signature of Jeroboam's Gozo (2020). The heart frames that white flower with dry cedarwood, fresh green violet leaves and a touch of geranium, adding depth without crowding the tuberose. The base settles into earthy patchouli, clean white musk and smooth ambroxan for a soft, sensual finish. Perfume Parlour's interpretation captures Gozo's standout tuberose and its floriental warmth convincingly, but where the niche original uses a clever facet-shading technique to keep the bloom shimmering and multidimensional, Island Bloom reads flatter and more linear, the flower a touch sweeter and the supporting notes thinner. Longevity is moderate rather than the all-day cling Gozo's extrait can deliver. The effect stays elegant and feminine-leaning unisex - a refined, romantic tuberose for cool spring through early autumn, at home on dates, evenings and dressier occasions.
