Prominent opens with a sweet, juicy burst of pineapple and apple lifted by red currant and bergamot, an immediate nod to Tiziana Terenzi Orion's fruity overture. A heart of smoky birch, thyme, patchouli and jasmine builds the dry, slightly tarry edge that links it to the Aventus family before a base of incense, oud, cedar, amber and musk settles into a woody-smoky drydown. On skin it wears as a confident, energetic fruity-woody scent, fresh up top and smoky underneath. Where Orion feels sparkly, refined and famously strong, the dupe is more linear and skin-close, the pineapple reading a touch more synthetic and the smoky depth thinner.
