Saffron Bloom

Saffron Bloom opens bright and golden, with bitter orange, juicy mandarin and bergamot lifted by a faintly green coriander. The heart is built around its star, a soft, almost violet-tinged saffron, surrounded by orange blossom, geranium, jasmine sambac and a little rose for a warm floral glow. The drydown is smooth and clean, a gentle vanilla and tonka bean over discreet woody notes. It tracks Acqua di Parma's Zafferano closely, that ambery-woody saffron once described as the scent of a crisp white linen shirt. Where the original feels especially refined and luminous, with a quietly impressive lifespan, this version reads a fraction sweeter and the saffron a touch less nuanced, the polished niche elegance softened into something simpler. Performance is moderate, present early then settling close to the skin. Refined, warm and unisex, it suits the office, daytime and dressier occasions alike across spring and cooler months.
