Sensual Cedar

Sensual Cedar opens fresh and lightly spiced: bergamot lifted by cardamom and nutmeg with an early rose, an inviting, slightly old-school flourish that echoes the Xerjoff it follows. The heart is its centre - a rich, creamy white-floral bouquet of tuberose, jasmine, neroli and ylang-ylang, lush and faintly vintage. The drydown turns soft and woody with cashmere wood, cedar, amber, musk and patchouli, cushioning the florals in warmth. Compared to the Torino23 it imitates, this Perfume Parlour version captures the white-to-yellow floral transition and the floral-woody-spicy shape, but the tuberose-jasmine heart is rendered a little flatter and sweeter, the woody-amber base less nuanced, and projection is gentler than the niche original. It still reads elegant and grown-up - a sensual, dressed-up white floral for cooler evenings and special occasions that captures Torino23's vintage glamour at a fraction of the price.
