Smoked Velvet

Perfume Parlour Smoked Velvet is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2025. Smoked Velvet opens with Saffron, Cardamom, Cade, and booze, settles into a heart of Suede, Benzoin, and Coffee, and dries down to a base of Vanilla, Amberwood, Tonka Bean, and Guaiac Wood. Perfume Parlour's Smoked Velvet carries a Statement verdict, a leather-led wear.

Smoked Velvet chases Omanluxury's Caden - that fiery saffron-and-suede leather drying into boozy coffee and vanilla amber. The dupe captures the smoky saffron-leather signature but renders it softer and less opulent, with the charred, room-filling intensity of the original tamed and projection scaled back.

About

Smoked Velvet opens hot and smoky: a big fiery saffron with cardamom, a tarry cade and a boozy edge, briefly charred before it clears. The heart is the heart of the original too - brown suede leather wrapped in resinous benzoin and a faint Kahlua-like coffee, plush and a little sweet. The drydown melts into vanilla, amberwood, tonka, guaiac wood and labdanum, a warm pastry-and-amber finish. Set against the Omanluxury it imitates, this Perfume Parlour version follows the saffron-suede-to-vanilla-amber arc faithfully but in a quieter key: the original's bold, opulent, room-filling saffron bomb becomes a softer, closer leather here, and the resinous intensity is gentler. It still presents as a rich, sensual leather-spice - a cosy, grown-up scent for cold evenings and dressed-up occasions that delivers Caden's smoky luxury at a fraction of the niche price, without its sheer power.
