S.S

Perfume Parlour S.S is an Eau de Parfum launched in 1992. S.S opens with Basil, Aldehydes, Mandarin, and Freesia, settles into a heart of Carnation, Orange Blossom, Jasmine, and Rose, and dries down to a base of Vanilla, Tonka Bean, Sandalwood, and Musk. Perfume Parlour's S.S carries a Favourite verdict, a aldehydic-led wear.

Perfume Parlour's budget version of the original Dolce & Gabbana for Women (1992), that bold aldehydic-floral powerhouse. It captures the soapy aldehyde blast and carnation-led bouquet, just rendered flatter and with the original's 8-hour oomph trimmed back.

About

This is Perfume Parlour's budget interpretation of the 1992 Dolce & Gabbana for Women, a benchmark aldehydic floral. It opens big and decadent - fizzy aldehydes over mandarin, freesia, bergamot and a green hint of basil, that ginormous soapy introduction the original is famous for. The heart is a full powerhouse bouquet, with carnation the most discernible note among orange blossom, jasmine, Bulgarian rose and lily of the valley. The drydown turns soft and musky-soapy with vanilla, tonka bean, sandalwood and clean musk. The original is a true power fragrance with above-average projection and 8-plus-hour longevity; the dupe keeps the bold aldehydic-floral shape but renders it thinner, with the carnation and musk less rich and wear pulled in close. For an inexpensive nod to a vintage powerhouse floral, it captures the decadent mood for the money.
