Supernatural opens dry and savoury - oakmoss and peppery pimento setting a serious, masculine tone. The heart is the draw: a roasted coffee note woven through cedar and rosewood, energetic and slightly bitter. A woody base of vetiver, maple, mahogany and guaiac wood grounds it. Against the Lancome original the dupe reads a touch flatter and sweeter, with the bitter oakmoss and the smoky-gravelly guaiac texture that gave Miracle Homme its character softened here. It wears as a confident, grown-up woody-spicy scent - well suited to the office, daily wear and cool-weather evenings. Projection is modest and longevity skin-close after the opening hours, the usual budget trade against the variable but often long-lasting original. As a smell-alike it captures the distinctive coffee-and-woods idea that earned Miracle Homme its quiet following while losing some of the depth and tenacity.
