The heart introduces warm, exotic saffron threaded with agarwood, before the base settles into a smooth, sparkling oud wood - the polished, pencil-shaving woodiness that makes Dior Purple Oud the most wearable oud in the Privee line. This budget version follows the same playful, citrusy-spicy take on oud, sidestepping the heavy animalic smoke of traditional ouds. Against the original it renders flatter and a touch synthetic: the citrus-pepper top is weighted up, while the shimmering, refined oud-wood depth is dialled back into something simpler and more linear.
