240 SD is built to mirror Dior Sauvage's globally recognisable pyramid: Calabrian bergamot up top, the same Sichuan and pink pepper, lavender, vetiver and geranium heart, and the signature Ambroxan-cedar-labdanum base that made Sauvage the best-selling men's fragrance of the last decade. As an aftershave rather than an EDT, it's designed to layer under the matching perfume or wear alone as a lighter, skin-soothing version, so the Ambroxan doesn't project or last anywhere near as long as the real thing's famous all-day sillage. The note-for-note match is genuinely strong on paper, this is one of the more faithful pyramids in the range, but the format naturally trades intensity and longevity for a gentler post-shave finish.
