Pineward Perfumes Sturbridge is an Extrait de Parfum, created by Nicholas Nilsson. Pineward Perfumes's Sturbridge carries an Acquired verdict, a musk-led wear.

Sturbridge is a cosy winter forest: pine and fir with frankincense, myrrh and resins, plus a baked apple note for warmth. Amber and ambergris round it out. If you want a conifer scent with real atmosphere, this one has it.

Top, heart and base are the brand's own listing, not a timing claim - the industry classifies a note by its character as much as by how fast it fades. Each curve here is modelled from that material's own volatility, so groups can overlap when a house lists long-lasting materials in its heart.

About

Sturbridge lists its notes in one group: baked apple, pine, frankincense, fir, spicy notes, resins, myrrh, cedar, amber, jatamansi or spikenard, poplar buds and ambergris. Pine, fir and cedar give a crisp evergreen character, while frankincense, myrrh and resins add a smoky, balsamic depth. Baked apple brings a touch of fruity sweetness, and amber and ambergris round the scent into something warm. It is a woody, resinous, wintry fragrance with a cosy edge.
