Police Gentleman is an Eau de Toilette launched in 2017. Gentleman opens with Bergamot, Lemon, Grapefruit, and Pepper, settles into a heart of Quince, Geranium, Cinnamon, and Saffron, and dries down to a base of Musk, Cedar, Sandalwood, and Vetiver. Police's Gentleman carries a Statement verdict, a fresh-led wear.

Police Gentleman is an unassuming, budget-friendly aromatic fougere that trades daring for dependability. It will not turn heads, but it is a clean, spicy-woody signature that plenty of wearers reach for on an ordinary day.

Top, heart and base are the brand's own listing, not a timing claim - the industry classifies a note by its character as much as by how fast it fades. Each curve here is modelled from that material's own volatility, so groups can overlap when a house lists long-lasting materials in its heart.

A clean, moderate-projection fougere that is safe for the office and everyday wear, without the presence needed for a formal evening.

Declarable allergens

We derive these from the materials behind this fragrance's notes, not from the bottle. Each one is likely, not confirmed. The list is partial - the box can name others.

Other declarable allergens

  • Bergamot Citrus Aurantium Bergamia Peel Oil from Bergamot
  • Rose geranium Pelargonium Graveolens Oil from Geranium
  • Sandalwood Santalol from Sandalwood
  • Synthetic musk Hexamethylindanopyran from Musk

The large name is the everyday one. The small name is the INCI form on the box, so you can compare the two. Reactions differ between people. A patch-test panel is not a ranking of risk. How we derive this

About

Gentleman opens with a spiced citrus burst of bergamot, grapefruit, lemon and tangerine, sharpened by pepper and cardamom. The heart settles into a warm, slightly sweet blend of blonde tobacco, cinnamon and saffron, softened by geranium and quince. A classic fougere base of cedarwood, sandalwood, patchouli, oakmoss, vetiver, musk and tonka bean closes the composition, giving it a dry, woody-powdery finish typical of mainstream men's fragrances from the mid-2010s.
