Bamboo Storm

Gucci Bamboo built its name on a graceful, feminine floral-woody-musk: bright Sicilian mandarin and Casablanca lily up top, a heart of orange blossom and ylang-ylang, settling into sandalwood, amber and clean musk that lingers for hours on skin. It's polished, soft-spoken and grown-up. Bamboo Storm chases the same green, floral, musky territory using bamboo, citrus and green leaves at the top, jasmine and lily of the valley in the heart, and a cedar-musk-amber base with a slightly aquatic lift that the original doesn't share. The opening is convincingly fresh and green, and the jasmine-lily pairing does genuinely nod to the original's lily-forward heart, but the dry-down is thinner and less rounded, fading to a faint clean musk within a few hours rather than the original's soft, lingering warmth. It's a reasonable everyday fresh-floral for the price, closer in spirit than in substance to the real Gucci Bamboo.
