Rebel Aromas Free Spirit is an Eau de Parfum. Free Spirit opens with Saffron, Incense, and Raspberry, settles into a heart of Oud, Rose, and Geranium, and dries down to a base of Birch, Labdanum, Benzoin, and Amberwood. Rebel Aromas's Free Spirit carries an Acquired verdict, a oud-led wear.

Rebel Aromas' inspired-by take on Louis Vuitton's Ombre Nomade. Free Spirit keeps the smoky oud-incense core but simplifies the layering, losing the original's dense, resinous depth and slow-burning intensity for a lighter, shorter-lived version.

About

Free Spirit takes aim at Louis Vuitton's Ombre Nomade, one of the most acclaimed smoky ouds on the market. It opens with a spiced saffron and incense burst touched with raspberry, echoing the original's dark, brooding intro but with less smoulder and more immediate sweetness. Oud, rose and geranium fill the heart, capturing the general oud-rose theme, though the smoke and birch tar richness that make Ombre Nomade so distinctive feel toned down here. The base leans on benzoin, amberwood, birch and labdanum for a resinous, woody finish, but it reads thinner and fades noticeably faster than the designer's famously long-lasting smoky trail. It's a reasonable entry point into the dark-oud genre for those who want the mood without the investment, but the depth, smokiness and longevity that define the real Ombre Nomade are only partially replicated.
