Copycat's Aventus for Her opens in a genuinely convincing place - the green apple is crisp and true to the original's tart, energetic first impression, and the rose that follows keeps the same soft, sandalwood-backed femininity rather than veering sweet or powdery. The patchouli undertone in the heart is a fair nod to the original's slightly earthy grounding too. The base is where it loses ground: Creed's musk-amber-ylang finish is smooth and lingers gently for hours, giving the fragrance its polished, quietly powerful character, while this dupe's base is thinner and settles into a generic soft musk within a few hours, losing the amber warmth that rounds out the original. It's a reasonably faithful, inexpensive way to sample the apple-rose-musk direction, if not the lasting sophistication Creed built the fragrance around.
